Dallas will be a six-point favorite at home this Sunday, against a Rams team who many think are legitimate playoff contenders. But it was Prescott who became a star as a rookie not Goff. "He's slinging the ball and he's got some great weapons and he's doing a great job". The Rams are coming off a narrow 41-39 victory over the 49ers.
Last preseason, this match up was the coming out party for Dak Prescott as he lit up the Gregg Williams version of the Rams defense. He needs three TDs to tie Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith of Dallas and Washington's Stephen Davis for most in first four games. Elliot has had a tough start to the season, averaging just 3.5 yards per carry so far this season, and he has had to endure an uncertain future with a six game suspension for a domestic violence incident. The Rams should be able to put up points against the Cowboys defense. Their defense is playing with more consistency and they have young players like DeMarcus Lawrence and Maliek Collins having breakout seasons.
The Rams have benefited from new additions at wide receiver including Sammy Watkins and Cooper Kupp.
Gurley had a 12-yard catch on third-and-5 to help the Rams get to the two-minute warning before Zuerlein's seventh field goal, a 33-yarder with 1:55 remaining.
Rams: First meeting next Sunday with Seattle, victor of three NFC West titles in the past four seasons.
"They're an excellent defense", McVay said this week.
"Premiere challenge. You know, when you're playing a really good offensive team, that's when you have to step up and be a really good defensive team."
Lee wasn't expected to play after not practicing all week, and the Cowboys will play it safe with him in an effort to get him back for the Packers game next week.
