Eagles failed to fly on Sunday in the WAFU Nation Cup Final as they lost 0-4 to the Black Stars of Ghana.
Both sides had clashed in Group A match last week with Nigeria winning 2-0 but the hosts overpowered their rivals in the final played at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.

Nigeria defender Stephen Eze's bad tackle on Razak earned Ghana another opportunity to score a goal from the spot in the 77th minute. The resultant penalty was converted by Vincent Atingah for Ghana's second goal on the night and his third in the competition.
Akas missed another great opportunity at the other end and Ghana were quick to punish it through Atingah's penalty after substitute Patrick Razak was tripped inside the box.

From one of such raids in the Nigeria defence, rasta-haired Sarfo capitalised on a loose ball around the visitors 18-yard box and unleashed a grounder which went straight into the net for Ghana's imminent opener on the 43rd minute.
In his post match interview, Super Eagles' Coach, Salisu Yusuf, saidL "We lost to a good team".
"I suggest that Gernot Rohr takes over the team as it prepares for the CHAN competition and work seriously on Ikechukwu Ezenwa for the world cup qualifier against Zambia", he said.
The Super Eagles defeated 10-man Benin Republic 1-0 in the semi-final of the championship to set up a date with the Black Stars.
