A spokesperson of the conglomerate in a statement paid rich tributes to slain youth and three militants killed in an encounter at Gulab Bagh, Tral.
He said as the forces were conducting the search operation, the hiding militants fired upon them. Two civilians, identified as Firdous Ahmed Khan and Aqeel Ahmad Bhat were shot dead by the state government forces during the post encounter clashes.
The situation in Tral and Pulwama areas was tense when reports last came.
In recent years, Kashmiris, mainly youths, have displayed open solidarity with anti-India rebels and sought to protect them by engaging troops in street clashes during military operations against the militants.
"All three militants have been killed; they were members of Zakir Musa group". The boy was later taken to Tral where thousands of people staged protests in various villages.
Police said one of the slain militant Ishaq was involved in thrashing and torturing of some SPOs on gunpoint and circulated the same on social media. "Both Ishaq and Zahid were involved in a firing incident at Tral market, resulting in injuries to three persons".
23-year-old Zakir Musa, a former Hizbul Mujahideen commander, renounced his position from the terrorist group in May 2017.
