Ronaldo summoned to court, Mourinho accused of tax fraud

Rumours that the Portuguese wants to leave the club came days after he was accused of tax fraud by the Spanish authorities, but Perez has insisted the superstar is not trying to manipulate Real into paying his possible fine.

Ronaldo is now facing four charges against the Spanish public treasury dated between 2011 and 2014, including a case of tax fraud worth United States dollars 65.5 million.

"He always told me he is at ease in Real Madrid".

Cristiano Ronaldo will have two offers to take to his meeting with Real Madrid after the Confederations Cup, according to reports.

United have been strongly linked with a move for their former forward, but Perez is not thinking about the possibility of Real losing their talisman.

"All I can say is that Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract with Madrid", Perez continued.

The Spanish prosecution in the indictment alleged that Ronaldo had evaded tax "in a conscious and voluntary manner". Perez said in an interview with Onda Cero (via The Sun).

"I have not spoken with him".

"Ronaldo is a Real player and will continue to be so as far as we are concerned", Perez told Marca sports daily yesterday.

This news as expected, has created a media circus around the world as there has been speculation that Ronaldo might make an unprecedented return to Manchester United with others linking the Madrid star to PSG, the MLS as well as China.

Real have an extremely strong squad featuring some of the world's standout players, while they played some scintillating football at times last season, creating 522 chances in La Liga.

The 32-year-old is now away with Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation, where he has so far evaded questions over his future - including skipping the traditional man-of-the-match press conference after Sunday's draw with Mexico.

"Nobody at Real wants him to leave", Florentino said.

Prosecutors accuse the 32-year-old of evading tax via a shell company based in the British Virgin Islands and another in Ireland, known for its low corporate tax rate.

The Portuguese talisman is apparently furious about allegations of tax fraud in Spain, and is adamant about a move away from Madrid.
