Diego Costa resigned to Chelsea exit but keen on rejoining Atletico Madrid

Perhaps this is the summer it happens, but that would be very complicated as they can't register any new players until January 2018 due to a Federation Internationale de Football Association transfer ban. Signing for Atletico wouldn't mean not playing, I could go [on loan] to some team in Spain, in Italy, in Brazil'.

"I get on very well with everyone and that speaks for itself", he told Cadena SER after Spain's 2-1 win over Macedonia on Sunday.

With 25 goals in the league last season for Everton, only Harry Kane bettered Lukaku, and in comparison, Costa finished with 20 to his name. But if he doesn't want me there, then I will have to look for a new team.

Asked about where his Chelsea future stands, Costa replied: 'The truth is I still don't know. "I do not know, it's complicated, but people know that I love Atletico a lot and that I love to live in Madrid", Costa said.

Spanish paper AS today published the text message which the Italian sent to Costa informing him that he will be clearing out his locker at the club.

Jair Costa ended up explaining a few more details of the striker's possible departure from Chelsea, and made it clear there are many options for him in the transfer market.

Costa's head was turned in January when he was linked with a big money move to China. Costa is furious at Conte's gesture, with the Spaniard of the view that he should have been told the same in person. "I have to think about my future".

Conte responds by saying: "Hi Diego, I hope you are well".

Conte texts players wishing them a good holiday and telling them to stay fit. It was just a simple message after all I've done for the club.

In turn, the striker revealed he wanted to return to Atletico Madrid, the club he moved to Chelsea from back in 2014. "I have to find a new team".

In an interview with Marca, he also confirmed that his relatioship with the manager has not been great.

Costa has scored 58 times in 120 games for Chelsea, landing two Premier League titles in the process. "If I want to be selected for the World Cup I can't move to China".
