Among the PlayLink games announced was Hidden Agenda, from the developer of Until Dawn. Players will take wacky photos of each other, draw doodles on their smartphones, answer truth-or-dare-style questions, and play a number of other light-hearted mini-games meant to create a more social experience accessible to non-gamers.
Called PlayLink, the service combines your phone - and all of its capabilities - with your PlayStation 4, to use as controllers and cameras and touch screen devices for bespoke casual games.
Moreover, Sony is already developing game titles suitable for group play but as of now, there is one title called That's You!. The other titles to be included in this lineup of games including SingStar Celebration, Knowledge is Power, and Frantics. After downloading the companion app, a user's iOS device will provide the ability to "swipe, pinch, drag, tilt, rotate or even snap selfies and draw crafty doodles, depending on the game". Also, there are scant details on how Sony plans to expand the collection. The game will also secretly give one player a secret objective (hence the name), that could put them at odds with the others. Sony announced that the company has sold 60.4 million PlayStation 4 games consoles since it launched just over three years ago. The collection of PlayLink games vary from gritty crime thrillers to quick-fire quizzes. Other players will try to guess what the hidden agenda is and prevent it from happening.
The gaming world is in a bit of a buzz at the moment, but at least we have Sony to take care of our smartphone/console party game needs.
