It was quite the learning experience in a MS hospital when a 12-year-old helped deliver her newborn brother.
The 12-year-old told MSNewsNow: "I actually, like delivered him, like, he let me actually push down and pull the baby out".
That's when Dr. Wolfe asked Dellapena to step in and help deliver the baby.
The doctor helped Jacee through the entire process and even let her cut the umbilical cord.
Middle schooler Jacee Dellapena was reportedly upset in the delivery room because she was too short to see and thought she'd miss the moment her baby brother entered the world.
"I don't even know if there are words to describe how it felt", Carraway told Fox News.
Jacee Dellapena can't wait until her newborn baby brother is old enough to hear the story about how he was born. "And I said, 'What?"
"Although the pain from the contractions and the pushing hurt me so bad. watching Jacee's expressions on her face were like no other", the mother wrote. 12-year-old helped deliver her baby brother and the emotions on her face is too fantastic not to share! She says she was nervous, but it was the best moment of her life.
Dede, who was discharged from hospital yesterday, added: "Seeing the emotions on her face, it made me cry". Carraway said her daughter suited up and was ready to go. "I have played fake doctor before, but this was different".
"I was scared I was going to mess up". Dellapenna said she "would love" to do it again, but her mom doesn't plan on having another little one anytime soon. "I am surprised", said Carraway.
