Lo and behold, her music re-appeared at midnight on Friday on services like Tidal, Pandora and Spotify. Lockhart Brownlie, one of the dancers, told the Examiner that when Perry asked them to work on her 2014 Prismatic tour, the trio left Swift's tour before it ended.
Some tweeters were upset that Swift's re-released music was stealing Perry's thunder.
And others were just excited to have her music back.
Questioned on whether her jibes against Swift go against her messages of unity, Perry said: "I said that but, I mean, I'm not Buddha - things irritate me. Honestly, it's really like she (Swift) started it and it's time for her to finish it", Perry told talk show host James Corden in May. For years now, the music world has known about the major beef between the 1989 singer and Katy Perry, and on Friday, Swift took another shot at her arch enemy.
Although the tweet specifies the singer's music would return to "all streaming services", Swift's catalogue has continued to be available on both and, making this an announcement that's principally aimed at Spotify. Her music remained on Apple Music, after she penned an epic letter urging them to pay artists during their free three-month trial period.
Adding on, Perry revealed Max Martin, who wrote Bad Blood with Swift, is innocent. "Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls", she sniped. But Taylor Swift did not yield.
Many fans couldn't help but wonder if this latest move was just another shot fired in Swift's rivalry with Katy Perry, who just so happened to release a new album the very same day.
