They boarded a Metro and visited another doctor who also told her the baby had died.
"The men in an auto-rickshaw offered me a lift and after a while, started molesting me".
Earlier today, the police had released sketches of the three accused in a case of gang rape of a woman and murder of her infant daughter. Just a few days later, on 13 May, a 22-year-old woman was kidnapped and gangraped in a moving vehicle in Gurugram, and thrown on a road in Delhi.
"The first two nights I was drugged, physically assaulted and sexually assaulted", she told an Indian news network at the time. Since she did not have a mobile phone, she could not inform anyone about her condition.
At a Gurgaon hospital she was told that her child was dead, and she couldn't believe it. The woman had had a fight with her neighbor and she did not want to spend the night in the house as her husband was away for work.
"The girl was picked up from her house in Amreha Budawan village while she was asleep besides her mother". The guard at the factory asked her to wait for dawn and then guided her to an auto that dropped her at her in-law's place at Khandsa Road. "Police questioned many auto drivers and checked the CCTV footages but failed to identify the accused till Wednesday morning" said an official. The men threw the child out of the autorickshaw. The other two involved in the gang rape have also been identified by Gurgaon police and efforts are being made to locate and arrest them.
Contrary to media reports, Sehgal confirmed that the child was left on a road divider near the construction site, and that the woman went back for the child after the assaulters left her. The woman (victim) was very helpful for all of the adjoining families. The police had released three sketches last night.
They registered a complaint on May 30, but it was only on the their daughter's murder. One accused is still absconding and police are carrying out raids to nab him.
The autopsy of the victim had shown that the bones of the woman's skull were shattered into pieces and "some sharp-edged objects may have been inserted in her private parts", again an eerie reminder of the infamous "Nirbhaya" case. "We have suspended the lady sub-inspector who delayed the FIR by a day", admitted the police chief.
